When cooking this garlic shrimp pasta recipe, it makes me feel like a sumptuous restaurant chef. Even though what I’m doing is stirring noodles and just adding it with Garlic and Shrimp! This quick, easy, & healthy shrimp recipe tastes like the sort of special date-night supper that you will crave on Fridays—proven that it’s delicious, budget-friendly too!
Although this healthy garlic shrimp pasta does consider the advantage of freezer shortcuts, it will still taste better if you have fresh ingredients. Flavor-wise, this recipe is comparable to a garlic shrimp scampi pasta but is much lighter.

1 lb shrimp deveined
1 lb spaghetti noodles
6 -8
garlic cloves1⁄4
cup butterdrizzle of olive oil
ground pepper
Italian seasonings
red pepper flakes
salt
Directions
- Boil your pasta in water until it’s tender. Save 1 cup of pasta water. We will use this later. I put some salt in your pasta while it boils. Once it’s cooked, drain and set it aside.
- While pasta is boiling, wash the shrimp.
- Melt butter in medium heat, and then add the shrimp.
- Let it all cook until a little pink and starting to curl. Next, add garlic.
- Cook 5-7 minutes and add oil.
- Continue to mix till shrimp is pink and curled.
- Add pasta to skillet and add the seasonings. Get back the pasta water and add it until it is not dry but not floating either. It usually depends on the amount of pasta, this requires 1/2 the cup or whole of it. Begin with adding 1/4 of it, then work up from there.
- Keep stirring all ingredients around in skillet till all is combined and hot. Enjoy!
